Fiction advice

If you’re a budding author and have a piece of fiction you’d like some eyes on, I’m happy to take a look without cost so long as I have availability. My only request (and it is a request, not a requirement) is that you pay it forward.

I endeavour to be fair, honest, and constructive. At present, I have no wait time.

For short pieces of fiction, or excerpts of longer pieces, I can provide detailed notes on the text itself for up to 10,000 words.

For longer pieces of fiction, I can provide advice on the structure, the narrative, characters, etcetera and give you my overall impression.

I am not a suitable person to contact if you are a beginner, nor do I have recommendations on how to learn at that level—aside from that you should read a lot.
